In yet another effort to address the issue of art teaching, Alba D'Urbano developed a second art installation based on the original video material of the interview. However, contrary to the first installation, Alba D' Urbano decided to take the opposite approach in preparing the text. While in the first installation she had converted the spoken text into a written form, for the video she converted the original interview into written, literary language, which was subsequently “read aloud” by two actors.
The video images filmed from one single camera angle show only a tiny fraction of the dialog situation. What we see is a table with the respective objects, which remains unchanged over time, and the landscape flying by in the background. The dialog partners themselves are invisible, we can merely hear the sound of the actors' voices while the subtitles open up another narrative by describing what is happening around them as well as the interlocutors' actions and gestures: The result is a fictitious, scenic portrayal of the normal surroundings on an ICE train.
Presentation: DVD-player, monitor, DVD length 49 minutes.
